Unpredictable Weather

A freak storm blew up late this afternoon and dumped a bunch of rain and hail upon us.

Close up of the hail. It came down so fast, and in less than a minute we had this much sitting on the ground. Unbelievable!

I haven't assessed the damage, if any, to the garden or flowers. No time to do that tonight. I have to go on stage with my daughter tonight for her induction ceremony into the National Technical Honor Society. Will blog with pictures about the ceremony tomorrow.

5/22/08 - The veggies and flowers are fine!

Wow! We had a storm like that in the Fall. I took pictures of the ground covered in hail. Hope all is well. Congrats to your daughter!

Crazy - we had hail here last week interspersed with rain and then days of 80 degree weather.

I listened to a futurist talk about market trends and how we could capitalize on them and one of his top trends he predicted for this upcoming next 50 years was "Global Warming Causes Global Weirdness with Weather Patterns."

He said that the entrepreneur that could figure out how to make money off of that would be in a great position.

I hope your flowers are safe. Keep us posted ...
