Boasting Rights for a Mom

My daughter, Ashley, came home from school today with a letter bearing some wonderful news. She has been accepted for induction into the National Technical Honor Society in a ceremony later this month. Students inducted into the society must be active in community involvement and volunteering. Grades in their program studies as well as regular High School classes must be at the Honor level. The program instructors must nominate the student as "worthy" of becoming a member of the Society. Once the student meets those qualifications, they are required to write a resume, obtain three letters of reference and go through an intimidating interview process. We are so proud of Ashley and her accomplishments as a Junior. The sash and tassle she receives this year will be worn at graduation next year.
