Part of the problem being I was in too much of a hurry earlier in the spring and planted them close together.
They've had no place to grow but UP...well they are also doing a good job of growing OUT, too!
Add weight of tons of tomatoes and this here chick will be canning and freezing all sorts of tomato products before long...and of course, over indulging on sweet, ripe, juice tomatoes.

I never learned how to can - always wanted to learn, to do it right without killing myself and DH!
I tried to grow tomatoes in the middle of the last two Texas 105 degree summer heat WHILE I was pregnant. Needless to say, I yielded a few tasting cherry tomatoes but I retreated to the air-conditioned haven (and they died).
One day I will have my own overgrown tomato hedge!
