Are You Ready for Some Flip Flops?

| Butterfly Loofah/Luffa Soap |
I always like to use a loofah/luffa soap. True to form, I can't have just any plain jane soap for my pampering experience, so I had to create a fun design. Butterflies and summer go together like peanut butter and jelly. So, butterflies it is!
These butterfly loofah/luffa soaps will make your feet feel the love. We've taken a generous slice of loofah/luffa, and submerged it in a luxurious helping of 100% Vegan Friendly Glycerin Soap and molded them into butterflies. What can be better than a nice bar of scented soap that will both exfoliate and cleanse those rough, stinky feet?
With several scents to choose from, there is one that would appeal to most everyone.

Sandy Beach Breezes Seashell Soaps

There is this place that I like to go to. A place where I can be alone in the bright sunlight. A place where I can sit and listen to the waves of water crashing a long the shore. The Smell of salt consumes me as the water splashes along the sandy shores. This place is a wonderful luxurious place called the beach.
The nice weather this past weekend has made me a bit stir crazy, anxious for summer to arrive. I've been itching for months to make these soaps, the molds sitting in the soap room waiting for the iron to strike...and today was THE day it happened. And they are already listed in our online shop!

It's Autumn in Vermont!
It's fall in Vermont. Fall colors have slowly been emerging and it looks to be yet another spectacular show of colors, as always. This Autumn Leaf Soap is one of many new creations I've been working on this past month. I know it has been a while since I last wrote on my blog, but that's life sometimes. In the past month I've spent a great deal of time processing fresh local veggies for the school...tomatoes, corn, peppers, melon, green beans...and the fall crops are coming in shortly. The freezer is really bursting with the bounty from area farmers and growers. We've helped the local economy by purchasing the produce, but the farmers and growers have been so generous and we've had an equal amount of produce donated by these same folks. It has been awesome! The kids at my school are getting the best of the best, and I'm proud of that.
I've also been working on preserving the bounty from my own garden at home. The tomatoes have gone crazy this year and made up for last year when all of my 20+ vines were stricken with early end blight. The tomatoes this year are going bonkers and I have been giving the excess bounty away to anyone that will take them. My freezers at home are filling right up!
Big changes with a toddler and a newborn in the house. And even bigger changes for their mom when she returned to work after maternity leave. The shift she had been working was eliminated and she's on a 3rd shift position. The grandbabies keep me busy in the evenings, and it's a small miracle if we have dinner before 7 PM. Then it is baths, bottles, diapers...and just when you think you about blogging you realize it is bedtime once again.

The Tulips Are Here!
Vibrant and beautiful tulips...a sign that spring is around the corner. Up here in Vermont the weather has been absolutely splendid. We still have plenty of snow laying around but it is melting, and that is a good sign. I'm anxious to see my flowers blooming once again.I've created this trio of soaps in anticipation of spring. The purple tulip is scented with Lavender Essential Oil. The pink tulip is scented with Pink Jasmine Musk. The yellow tulip is scented with Honeysuckle. Share the essence of spring with your friends and loved ones. These make great "pick me up" gifts for those who are still burdened under the weight of winter.

Lovin' Your Feet Gift Set

This is a very yummy Foot Lovin' Gift Set. Smells every bit as yummy as it looks (but we don't advise eating this). After scrubbing the rough spots on your feet with our loofah soap, slather the rich goodness of the yummy parfait on your feet for a refreshing and moisturizing experience.

The Lotion Parfait is chock full of skin loving goodies and layered with aloe vera gel. This set is bursting with the essence of Rosemary Mint ~ the perfect union of mint and rosemary creating a minty herbal scent that is highly aromatic and invigorating.
Hurry on over to our shop before they are all gone.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For...
It looks like ice cream and smells like ice cream but I don't suggest eating any of this soapy confection. The great thing about our ice cream is that there are ZERO CALORIES! No inches will be added to the hips with the use of this glycerin soap. You will, however, end up with a great luxury bathing experience to indulge your senses.
We also have a unique Spa Washcloth that would make a great pairing with our Ice Cream Soap.

Spring Fling Take 2
It certainly didn't look like spring today when we were "blessed" with yet another snow storm. Since I'm not seeing any evidence of grass or flowers outside, it was time to create some spring flowers and sunshine inside.
The essence of spring wrapped in elegance and pure glycerin soap heaven. Lily and Jasmine are brought together with lemon and ozone for a truly unique blend. Real pressed flowers are suspended within the glycerin soap for added charm and beauty. You can read more about these gorgeous glycerin soaps in the Spotted Cow Soaps Etsy Store. Hint - Mother's Day is May 11!
Now that I've created spring and sunshine INSIDE my house, I'm waiting for winter to relinquish its clutches so we can experience spring and sunshine on the OUTSIDE of the house.

Inspired to Organize

I woke up this morning and decided to pull out all of the soap from the crates that serve as storage and transporting and then used for display at shows. The space I had to work within did not permit the entire display to be set up, but compact and organized enough for what I needed. Everything listed in my Etsy store is in the display. Now that I've got it all in place, I see there is room for more soap, and I haven't even started hauling down all of the soy candles and the rest of the felted bags that I've made and are waiting for homes.
The "table" that the display is set upon is an old free-standing cupboard & counter that I recycled from the kitchen when we went through a remodel last spring. I keep all of my bags, boxes, recycled packing, fragrance oils, and misc. supplies in the cupboard. I've hidden the fact that it is old and in need of serious painting by creatively covering the cupboard with a cloth in an attempt to camouflage the fact that it is hideously old!

Rainy Day
We are experiencing RAIN (and lots of it) instead of that other ugly 4 letter word that starts with "S"! Our driveway is in the beginning stages of a lake. The town never cleared the snow and ice from our storm drain, so the water from the road is adding to our lake. ARGH!!! Now when it turns colder we'll have frozen globs of rain saturated snow...aka ICE! I'm so ready for spring to get here!

I haven't made any cold processed soap today but I've been working on a few glycerin soap projects that I've had up my sleeve. Zero Calories Chocoholic soaps are back... There was a quick inventory of soap I have in stock so I can make a soap making list. Some new fragrances came in this week that I was itching to open and sniff...can't wait to get those made into luxury soap! I also finished weaving in the ends on several wash cloths and made a few more bath puffs. The dreary weather isn't the greatest for inspiration today, so I stuck with simple projects that offered quick results.

Pansy Single Use Soap Petals

These Soap Petals are great single use guest soaps. Decorative, uniquely elegant, fun and yet functional. We have taken a simple silk petal and coated it with scented glycerin soap. There is enough soap on each petal for one single hand washing. When you are finished, the petal is simply thrown in the trash. The fragrance lingers on the petal to freshen the room even after the soap is gone. Indulge yourself, make your guests smile, or put a smile on someone else. You can view and purchase these gorgeous petals in our Etsy Store.
